Game Overview

Players of Forza Horizon 5 make their way to a lively, colorful Mexico, where a great open world, changing seasons, and the best in the industry vehicle physics are combined to produce an unparalleled car game environment. “Horizon Adventure” forms the main gameplay loop, you gain new expeditions and festival locations by collecting accolades, which are story-based achievement cards that incentivize exploration, mastery of specific car classes, and the completion of some stunt challenges such as drifting in ancient ruins or jumping over active volcanoes. The world is made up of eleven different biomes, for example, the snow-covered Gran Caldera volcano, the deeply green jungle of the Cascades, the dry Baja desert, and the colorful coastal city of Guanajuato, each having special environmental effects like sandstorms which lower visibility, tropical storms flooding the roads that are at the lowest level, and even a “dust storm” feature that physically drives away the light cars.

The “Event Lab” is back with a more advanced version, providing players with the ability to produce custom races, mini-games, and even quite different game modes, such as infection or capture-the-flag, by using props and scripted logic. The “Rally Adventure” and “Hot Wheels” DLCs turn the open world into separate areas focused on off-road and high-speed stunt driving, respectively, bringing new physics for cross-country rally cars and magnetic Hot Wheels tracks. Multiplayer features are thoroughly changed with “Horizon Open,” a matchmaking system for usual racing, and “Horizon Tour,” a co-op series where teams of up to six players race against AI opponents in a series of events. “Forza Link, “an AI assistant, finds other players near you for convoying, tells about player status, and proposes different routes based on your driving pattern.
